Zero Discrimination: UGC's Strict Policy on Caste & Gender
UGC has issued strict guidelines to ensure no student faces discrimination on campus on the basis of caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, or disability.
Student Rights
- Equal Opportunity Cell: Every university must have this cell to handle complaints.
- Ombudsman: A dedicated person to hear student grievances.
- Anti-Ragging: Discrimination often takes the form of ragging, which is a criminal offense.
How to File a Complaint?
If you face discrimination, you can file a complaint online on the UGC e-Samadhaan Portal. The university is legally bound to resolve it within a fixed timeline.
